After the return of Champions League football earlier this week, Liverpool will look to solidify their placement in next years competition with a home win against Swansea. For now though, read a mixture of Liverpool related news articles and opinions from around the web.

-Liverpool advance to FA Youth Cup quarter-finals, beat Watford 2-0.

-In the Champions League, Bayern Munich down ten-man Arsenal 2-0 while Atletico Madrid defeat AC Milan on a late header from Diego Costa. SB Nation Recaps: Arsenal | Bayern Munich | AC Milan

-Javier Mascherano decided earlier this week to clear the air over his sour Anfield exit. Not sure why the topic came up three and a half years after his transfer from Liverpool, but it's interesting to note that we haven't bought a decent defensive midfielder in all that time.

-Howard Webb predictably escapes punishment for his poor performance in the Liverpool-Arsenal match over the weekend.

-From This Is Anfield: Liverpool's 20 year struggle to find a top class left back. On the subject of left backs, Jose Enrique could make a big difference for Liverpool if he ever recovers from his knee operation.
