Lacina Traore- Anzhi
Lacina Traore seems to be a rumor that won't go away. And I can understand why. The man's a beast, like... Sakho-esque beast, except he scores goals, but he's a player that Melwood's fitness machines should be afraid of. The guy's 6ft 8in, is built like a tank, and despite his size, can score with his feet.
We should know this all too well, as Traore even scored against us in the Europa League last season, and even if he didn't, he gave us an absolute 'mare at the back. In addition to that one goal he scored against us, he scored 17 in 38 appearances for Anzhi last season.
What makes me optimistic about signing him is that Anzhi are in their own pickle of financial troubles, and despite having decent strikers already, we are in desperate need of goals, still. I mean, DStudge can't do it all himself, can he?
Watch his goal vs us last season here ^
Balazs Dzsudzak
Hungarian Midfielder Balazs Dzsudzak seems to be looking for a move west from his current club Dynamo Moskow, and his current contract runs out in 2015.
Despite having our fair share of midfielders, it seems we're in need of a guy who can get us ticking, an out-and-out number 10, where Brendan seems to want Coutinho pushed a bit higher up, feeding the strikers more.
The midfielder's played 42 times for Moskow, previously going to Russia with Anzhi from Dutch giants PSV, who he made 114 appearances for.
So, two players in key need of improvement for this week's article. Who would you like to see most?
