The Asylum Roundup: Tuesday Liverpool News and Links

With the Reds' current form, this international break is like the bar closing at 11:30. There's no Tactics Tuesday but we do have some links to to quench your Liverpool thirst and usual the ruckus resumes on the weekend.

Glen Johnson could miss some serious time.

Let's start of with some terrible news: Glen Johnson will likely miss 10 weeks to injury.

Look forward to a transfer roundtable from the Asylum cast either tomorrow or the day after.

Daniel Sturridge said some really obvious things to the press, and the press duly responded by blowing them out of proportion.

Diego Costa sheds some light on his near switch to Liverpool.  You sure that new Atleti pay raise had nothing to do with it?

Tough luck for Andy Carroll.  Wish the striker all the best but Rodgers's decision to offload him looks better each day.  Big Sam should get some holiday cards from Liverpool fans this year.

For the Yank fans among us, we got a massive qualifier against Mexico tonight.  Matt Besler, Jozy Altidore, and Geoff Cameron will all miss out due to yellow card accumulation.  Here's the yellow Besler picked up against Costa Rica (starting at the 5:42 mark)...I don't want to cry conspiracy but to have a Mexican referee in this situation beggars belief.  Do you CONCACAF, do you.

Here's a youtube clip of new loanee Victor Moses in action.  I pre-emptively muted the music so apologies in advance for whatever horrible techno pop I exposed you too.  Do enjoy the clip for some Fernando Torres failings though.

Finally for those of you who enjoy the finer things in life, here's 10 minutes of Juan Roman Riquelme disrespecting people.  Relation to LFC? I think I once signed him for the Reds in FIFA 08.

Check back soon for a profile of Mamadou Sakho.
