Map It Out: September's Fixtures

Brendan's Reds take on his old side Swansea, Southampton, and new signing Simon Mingolet's old side Sunderland in the month of September.

14th September- Swansea (Away)

Our games Swansea are always matches I look forward to. Swansea have always been a bit of an enigma, with Liverpool only beating them once in the 2 seasons they've been up. However, both teams play good football. Swansea have played some of the most stylish football I've seen in awhile, and, unlike some teams, their matches are never boring.

The worst part about it though, is that Brendan is a bit predictable, and Swansea know his brand of football. That being said, the only win we've had against them was that 5-0 drubbing. However, that was a week before their League Cup Final against Bradford City, and they rested a good few of their starting XI.

21st September- Southampton (Home)

Our last match against Southampton didn't end well, it didn't even start well. We'll be looking to make up for that performance. I expect us to come out all guns blazing. In that one loss we were very lazy on the ball and complacent, which played into their hands.

Southampton play a style of football a lot like us under their new manager, and I expect a very attack-minded match. I think we'll have a bit of a struggle, but pull through in the end.

28th September-Sunderland (Away)

Sunderland have given us a tough time recently, but I think a lot of it has been because of Mignolet. The kid's a good shot-stopper, I'm glad we have decent competition for Goalkeeper now. Hopefully no beach balls will be around, either.

Paolo Di Canio's enthusiasm has brought new life to Sunderland, who previously were wallowing under Martin O'Neil. I fully expect them to finish mid-table, with a few scalps along the way. Hopefully one of them won't be against us
