So here we go again. More news from around the interwebs. I was late watching the first Gomel game, so no player ratings. Sorry, it was painful enough watching that game anyways. I'm sure no one cared to rate the players either, which would have required reliving that match. On to the links:
-This one will not sit well if it happens. John Henry open to selling naming rights to Anfield. Just ask Newcastle fans what they think of renaming classic stadiums. This has the clear potential to be the proverbial wet fart in church.
-Liverpool have increased their offer for Joe Allen. Apparently high enough to trigger the rumored release clause in Allen's contract. UPDATE: Joe Allen was at Anfield watching the Gomel match. You can make your own assumptions.
-As if you needed more confirmation that FIFA/Sepp Blatter was incompetent and corrupt, England are now number 3 in the FIFA world rankings. Yeah.....um....yeah, I got nothing else for that.
-Brendan Rodgers discusses the Daniel Agger and Bellamy situation. No good can come from this.
-ESPN speculating on the price Liverpool would accept for Agger.
-Not to be outdone, the Mirror makes an even more interesting claim of what Liverpool want for Agger.
-Another one who got away? Emiliano Insua may be on the move. Good for him if it happens. It sure would be nice to have him for cover right now.
-BR has had some words of encouragement for Suarez, trying to get him to put last season's trouble's behind him.
-Finally, some Finnish rockers make a song about Anfield legend Sami Hyypia. Someone at Talksport did some fantastic research to come up with these songs about other footballers.
