Not much happening this day, what with a needless international against France on for tomorrow, so I thought I'd cover some quick stuff.

-Couple papers have Liverpool linked with a January swoop for Boro's David Wheater.  At least he's young, though if he's being thought more of as a fullback than a center, I'd really rather see what Martin Kelly becomes.  Clearly, Daniel Agger is going to be out for some time and that leaves the Reds with only three centerbacks, which has to be cleared up.

-John Henry was quoted today saying that January might not be the splash everyone is hoping for, which is something I alluded to last week.  It's hard to make meaningful buys in the winter when you're not a Champions League club.  That's at most a lateral move for players, and they'd probably prefer to wait for the summer.  I'd hate to see Liverpool just buy for buying's sake, and I think Henry wants to avoid that.

-Fabio Aurelio made it through 75 minutes in reserve match.  Quite frankly, if he can stand up and breathe he should start ahead of the pox on all of us Paul Konchesky.

-Dani Pacheo played, so at least he's breathing.
