Reina underlines Reds commitment

+

Some very good news came out for Liverpool today as Pepe Reina has rubbished speculations that he has asked to leave Anfield and claimed that he is "fully committed to the club." For the time being, this is very good news for Liverpool and Hodgson. Reina is one of the best keepers in the Premier League and he is even more valuable to the club because he is only 28. To lose Reina would probably be even more devastating than losing Torres, in my opinion. Granted, this does not mean that Reina is completely happy with how poorly Liverpool have played for the majority of the season so far. While Reina claims to be fully committed to Liverpool, if there is no improvement in team's form and the team doesn't start to win consistently, I wouldn't expect to see Reina wanting to go down with the ship for much longer. However, hopefully, the ship won't sink at all. With the new ownership comes new hope. "Our new owner met me and some of the other players last week and I was very happy with what he told me" Reina told LFC.TV. If NESV can make good on their promises and bring in some quality players this January, it will go a long way to retaining the likes of Reina and Torres this summer.
